PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION HAS WORLD HERITAGE THEME

November 30 marks the 20th anniversary of Blaenavon achieving World Heritage Status, and to celebrate, the Council’s 2020 photography competition will have a World Heritage theme.

BLAENAVON TO BECOME WALES’ FIRST SWIFT-FRIENDLY TOWN

An endangered bird species will hopefully be making a comeback in Blaenavon, thanks to a Town Council project to try to increase their habitats.

Three of Blaenavon’s main employers have made generous donations of almost £2,500 to ensure local residents in need had emergency food parcels over the Easter weekend.

 Blaenavon Town Council has purchased essential food and toiletries to bolster current supplies at the town’s food bank.
